The Kitchen has 76 entities and is one of the most device-dense areas. It contains a smart lock, multiple Lutron dimmers, motorized blinds, LG refrigerator, GE Profile smart oven, an Amazon Echo for voice control, and extensive Emporia Vue energy monitoring across individual appliance circuits.

• Note: ge_home has a pending HACS update (v2026.2.1) requiring HA restart

Voice

Energy Monitoring (Emporia Vue)

The Kitchen has the most granular energy monitoring in the home — 7 separate Emporia Vue circuits covering every major appliance.

Notes / Gotchas

• smartthinq_sensors is in setup_retry status — LG appliance data may be stale or unavailable until the add-on is updated and HA is restarted.
• The ge_home integration requires a restart after the pending HACS update.
• The Kitchen Smart Lock (Aqara U100) is bridged via the Aqara Hub M2 (Matter). If the Hub M2 goes offline, the lock entity becomes unavailable — but the physical lock still works mechanically.
• Kitchen Cabinet Pico has no floor assignment (area_id: null) — this is a cosmetic registration issue; the device is physically in the kitchen.
